Rayma Reany

Rayma is a full time artist and also teaches pastel and acrylic painting in Greenwood, sharing her artistic journey with others. She was born in Perth, WA and has painted from an early age, later pursuing formal art studies at Perth and Carine technical colleges.

Rayma enjoys visiting Rottnest Island with fellow artists every year and paints 'Plein air' around the many bays and salt lakes.

Her paintings are a direct response to the landscape, inviting the viewer to be transported into it. To capture the mood, she prefers to work with early morning or late afternoon light, creating extended shadows.

She is an active member of the pastel society of Western Australia and the West Australian Society of Arts, exhibiting regularly.

Her paintings have been exhibited, won awards and sold throughout Western Australia for many years.
